TVi Productions

40 years in
broadcast television

TVi Productions has worked in broadcast television since the Company was formed the mid-Nineties, but the principals' experience goes back much further, at the time of BVUs and teleprinters, when contracts were exchanged by fax and a 10' satellite segment on Optus B3 cost a month's salary. Today broadcasters expect cheaper product delivered faster, and our experience is a solid platform to build contemporary content that matches and surpasses the broadcasters' expectations.

The Italian job

The relationship with Italy's public broadcaster Rai goes back to 1996, when TVi was hired to manage Rai's presence in Australia and New Zealand, and especially its content production. Countless news and current affairs items were produced over the years, plus some serious documentaries.

TVi still produces mini-documentaries for Rai's international channel Rai Italia, mostly focusing on remarkable Italians who's chosen Australia as their home. The channel is available to Italians and lovers of things Italian all through the world. In Australia the channel is distributed by MySat and available through major pay TV services.

The CEO.

When she won a scholarship to study human rights anywhere in the world, Rome-born Francesca Panzironi would never expected to end up in Adelaide running an Aboriginal Corporation.

And not just any corporation, but one that revived the ancient traditions of the Aboriginal Ngangkaṟi or healers.

TVi's contracts wit RAI are very strict - meaning we cannot show material sold to them on any platform - whether here on our website or our social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or others. It's restrictive, and there's nothing we can do if we want to sell our product to them.

However, you may be able to see some of our stories on RAI's catch-up website, (register for free) and more specifically on the program we contribute to, L'Italia con voi. Go to the program's website and select LE STORIE. Of course, they're in Italian....

Also, you may be able to see some more stories of ours here. However, it looks as if Rai only started tagging its journalists recently as there are no stories before the end of October 2019.

The chef.

Alessandro Pavoni (Ormeggio at the Spit) survived some pretty nasty health problems on his way to becoming one of Sydney's top chefs.

He was set on his way to the stove when he witnessed the kind of joy his grandmother's cooking sparked at the dinner table.

Local content

TVi is working on some ambitious projects, including the second series of the successful show "Worktrotter", which received a resounding endorsement by both critics and public when its 12 episodes aired in 2018, and a reality show based in Sydney and shot all over Australia.
